Beauty Gonzales' Amazing Transformation
Beauty turned heads recently when she graced the catwalk of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women event in a black bikini.
‘Matabang Bisaya’
In an interview on “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Wednesday, August 6, Beauty admitted feeling hurt when people called her ‘matabang Bisaya’ during her PBB days in 2007.
“Na-hurt ako kasi hindi naman lahat ng Bisaya mataba. Mataba lang talaga ako noong time na iyon.”
It has been years since Beauty started losing weight and became more health conscious. The 23-year-old “Moon of Desire” actress works out with her nonshowbiz boyfriend, who motivated her and helped her prepare for the sexy fashion ramp and magazine cover.
“At first, I just wanted to get healthy and fit. Tapos nung napansin na ng mga kabarkada ko, ‘Pumayat ka.’ Ah so pumayat pala ako. Tapos may nag-ooffer sa akin to pose for a magazine, sabi ko first time ko magpose sa magazine so dapat ipakita ko na talaga yung katawan ko.”
‘Vava-voom, wow!’
How did her 38-year-old boyfriend react when he saw her wear a bikini on the catwalk?
“Va-va-voom, wow!” Beauty replied.
She added, “Very supportive naman siya, siya yung parang tainor ko, psychologist. Kailangan meron kang taong may mataas na pasensya. Minsan kapag pagod ka, ‘Ayaw ko na.’ Kapag tumatakbo ako, ‘Ano gusto mo bang tawagin kang mataba?’ Sabi ko, ‘Ayaw ko.’”
Although Beauty and her boyfriend have been together for two years, they don’t have plans of settling down anytime soon.
Career first
“(I tell him) ‘Antay ka muna, matanda ka na. okay lang iyan, love pa rin kita,’” she said.
Beauty would rather focus on her career, especially now that she’s getting more attention after seven years in showbiz.
“Hindi pa muna, nakikita naman niya na ngayon lang na may nakapansin sa akin. Ganoon talaga. Ang hirap kaya sa showbiz. Gusto niya na i-support niya muna ako.”
